Working together
Wondering if we’re the right fit? Here is a clear sense of what we'd actually do together—how I work, who I support best, and what our sessions look like in practice.
What we might work on
These describe what therapy with me tends to look like for someone bringing each of these — not what the difficulty itself feels like.
How I work
My style is warm but thoughtful. I won't rush you, and I won't tell you what to do. I'll listen closely, reflect back what I'm hearing, and gently offer perspectives that might open things up — but the pace of our work, and what we explore, is led by you.
Early sessions are mostly about getting to know each other and finding our footing. You don't need to arrive with a clear sense of what you want to work on — many people don't. I'll ask questions, but mainly I'll be listening. Over time, as we build trust, our work tends to deepen — we start noticing patterns, exploring what sits underneath the things you bring, and finding new ways of relating to yourself and the people in your life.
I'm an integrative therapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic traditions depending on what would be most useful for you. If you'd like to know more about the specific approaches I work with, you can read more on my approach. But honestly, what matters far more than the labels is whether the work feels right for you — and the only way to know that is to try a conversation and see how it lands.

Who I work with
I work with adults of all ages. Many of my clients are coming to therapy for the first time, and some return after a break of months or years. Both are welcome.
I'm committed to creating a space where all forms of identity and self-expression are met with respect. I work with LGBTQ+ clients, with people from a range of cultural and faith backgrounds, and with neurodivergent clients — and I'm always open to talking about anything that would help our work feel safer or more attuned to who you are.
I want to be straightforward about who I'm not the best fit for. I don't work with active addiction, with eating disorders requiring specialist clinical input, or with anyone currently in acute crisis or at significant risk. If that's where you are, please don't hesitate to reach out — I'll do my best to point you toward someone or somewhere better placed to support you well.
The shape of our work
A few practical things it helps to know before we start.
Session length
50 minutes, in-person or online. Some clients prefer a longer 80-minute session for deeper or somatic work — we can discuss whether that might suit you.
Frequency
Weekly, at the same day and time. This consistency matters — it allows the work to deepen and gives you a reliable space to come back to.
In person & online
I see clients in person at The Haven Practice in Camberwell, and online via a secure video platform. Many clients mix the two depending on the week.
Short-term & open-ended
Some clients come for a focused piece of work — perhaps 8 to 12 sessions around a specific issue. Others stay for longer, more open-ended exploration. There's no expectation to commit to a fixed number at the outset. We'll review how the work is going together, regularly.
More information, including fees and other FAQ, can be found in my Fees & FAQ.
Sound like a good fit? Get in touch.
I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call — a chance to share a little about what's bringing you to therapy. There's no obligation beyond that first conversation.
